With numerous awards and recognition occurring at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, Arrow Truck Sales joined in the fun by naming Billy Basenberg of Jasper, Alabama, as the winner of ArrowÂ’s 5th Anniversary Back on the Road program.

Truck driver awards handed out

Ryder Systems' most recent "Driver of the Year" awards were handed out to three drivers who have combined to drive for 117 years and showcased their ability to execute trucking safety for more than 10 million miles.

At the upcoming Xata User Event in Minneapolis, Xata announced its plan to bring in Steve Largent, former congressman, NFL wide receiver and current president and CEO of CTIA-The Wireless Association, as the keynote speaker.

DFP creates new, safe loading dock

In an attempt to improve trucker health, Diversified Fall Protection recently announced a new loading dock safety gate that falls in line with Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance.

According to industry publication The Trucker, a recent report conducted by MaineWay Services found that commercial motor vehicles that are equipped with speed limiters were 50 percent less likely to get in a accident than those without the devices.
