Central Freight Lines honored for trucking safety by TMTA
The Texas Motor Transportation Association recently honored Central Freight Lines by giving the company the first place P&D Division Fleet Safety Award and the first place Intercity 10-20 million miles class award for its excellence in truck driving safety and efficiency.
At the TMTA Annual Conference Safety/Maintenance Award Luncheon in San Antonio, Central Freight Lines will be honored with awards, at which the company will also be able to receive the Grand Trophy given out by the TMTA.
"Our drivers are committed to safety awareness, professionalism and customer service which is reflected in our repeat award winning performances each year," said Don Orr, president and CEO of Central Freight. "Texas is our home base and we are all proud to be a carrier that consistently promotes safety throughout the company ensuring a safe environment for those traveling on Texas highways."
Central Freight Lines was also recently making waves in the trucking industry when the company's Gary Babbit was added as a Captain of the 2011-2012 America's Road team by the American Trucking Association, which celebrates accident-free trucking and safety.
