With numerous awards and recognition occurring at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, Arrow Truck Sales joined in the fun by naming Billy Basenberg of Jasper, Alabama, as the winner of Arrow’s 5th Anniversary Back on the Road program.
As the winner of the Back on the Road program, Basenberg receives ownership of a 2008 MACK Pinnacle High-Rise Sleeper, a one-year work agreement with Heartland Express, as well as, insurance from the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, a three-year/300,000-mile warranty from the National Truck Protection, and other products and services used to improve trucking safety.
"After everything Billy has done for other people – family and strangers alike – we are proud to give him this chance to represent Back on the Road, gain back his family’s livelihood as an owner/operator, and enjoy this opportunity he very much deserves," said Steve Clough, president of Arrow Truck Sales.
According to industry publication The Trucker, a number of members of the trucking industry also chipped in to supply Basenberg to get he and his family back on their feet, with a contribution of $5,000 intended to help the family until Basenberg receives his first paycheck.
