Some of the innovations offered by the innovations are an emergency brake alert, which warns trailing drivers of braking; rollover stability support, a system that brakes accordingly after monitoring load, wheel speed and transverse acceleration; and tire pressure monitoring, which uses sensors to tell drivers if their tires and deflating or under-pressurized.

Another company showcasing some of its new creations at the 2012 Mid-America Trucking Show is PACCAR, which is unveiling its Kenworth T680 and the Peterbilt Model 579 trucks.

According to Mark Pigott, PACCAR chairman and CEO, the making of the trucks stems from a four-year, $400 million program that company underwent in order to create these new, innovative trucks.
