Online truck driver safety training can keep operators in compliance with clean air policies
Because commercial vehicle operators spend the majority of their time on the road, they may not have the time or resources to stay up-to-speed on the most recent changes to the laws and regulations that govern their industry. Fortunately, these professionals have many educational options that can help them stay in compliance with these rules.
In fact, some organizations are increasing their efforts to increase access to industry-specific training opportunities. For instance the San Diego County Air Pollution Control District, California Air Resources Board as well as the San Diego Association of Governments and CalTrans is sponsoring a one-day event for truckers.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the conference, which will take place later this month, will address the recently enacted Clean Air Resources Board regulations and how they affect the trucking industry. In addition, attendees will be able to witness a truck inspection demo, visit vendor displays and gain information on financial opportunities.
According to The Associated Press, the goal of the new rules is to reduce emissions from diesel vehicles by 50 percent over the next three years.
Online truck driver safety courses can also help trucking professionals stay abreast of new rules that affect their industry.
