Missouri Trucking company receives National Safety Award
Fleet management owners who adhere to the safety regulations of the trucking industry are often recognized for their dedication to keeping their drivers and other motorists protected while on the road. Recently, the Waller Truck Company of Missouri was given the highest honor of the 2010 National Safety Awards for their achievements in trucking.
Recipients may receive participatory, silver, gold or platinum awards with this program. Waller took home the platinum, a level higher than what they had the previous year. Officials from the company claims that they have been working diligently to ensure the protection of their drivers by making sure they are certified in various ways, which may include recurrent hazmat training and compliance training for truck drivers.
The Waller Truck Company operates in 48 states and boasts a fleet of 820 trucks and trailers. The company was established by Jack Waller, and has enjoyed success in the trucking industry for more than five decades.
The National Safety Awards are a program sponsored by the Great West Casualty Company, which provides trucking companies with casualty and property insurance. More than 800 businesses took part in this contest in 2010.
