The Coalition of the Nevada Trucking Industry recently announced it is teaming up with Truckers Against Trafficking to put an end to child trafficking on U.S. highways and in truck stops.

Truckers are being educated by instructional DVDs that provide information about the signs of illegal trafficking and what steps truckers can take to stop trafficking without compromising truck driving safety.

"The Nevada Trucking Association and its members are sickened by the evils of human trafficking," said Paul Enos, CEO of the NTA. "Truckers are the eyes and ears of our highways and truck stops, so we are asking truckers to notify the authorities when they see signs of these activities."

Many companies supporting the trucking industry are also making efforts to end child trafficking, reported the Nevada News Bureau.

Peter Krueger, association executive with the Nevada Petroleum Marketers Association, told the news source the NPMA is working tirelessly to make sure child trafficking is stopped, asking highway patrons to report suspicious behavior and potential trafficking efforts.
