FleetFusion program helps motor carriers manage independent contractors
The new FleetFusion program created by the Great American Insurance Group’s Trucking Division will give motor carriers managing an independent contractor division three different options to improve trucking safety, among a wide range of other options.
The Driver Safety Initiative will give drivers relevant information about safety techniques they can use, as well as access to a driver coaching component, which teaches drivers about issues such as road rage, drowsy driving and poor visibility.
The new program will also provide solutions for roadside assistance, as well as enhance the carrier's driver administration system. Roadside MASTERS will provide support for its roadside assistance, while Motor Carrier Driver Administration System will take advantage of a internet-based driver management system.
According to AZoCleantech, teaching drivers the top techniques can result in vast fuel savings to allow for companies to save on their fuel costs.
The website said that offering incentives for drivers who are able to save on their fuel bills often makes drivers want to cut down their fuel use.
