Driver celebrates more than 4 million miles of safe driving

A Marshfield, Wisconsin-based truck driver recently celebrated his 2011 Company Driver of the Year Award from the Truckload Carriers Association and partner Randall-Reilly Business Media and Information after traveling nearly 4.4 million miles of accident-free driving.

The 56-year-old John Moeller is a driver for Roehl Transport has been exercising excellent truck driving safety measures for 31 years. Moeller set himself apart from the competition for the award by working to create a more positive public image for truck drivers by being active within the community.

"John is the standard bearer for what it means to be a professional driver," said John Spiros, vice president of safety and claims management for Roehl Transport, in a news release. "John's service to our industry enhances the image of trucking in a profound way. His performance charts the course for all drivers, and all trucking professionals, to follow."

Moeller was given the award at the Truckload Carriers Association’s Annual Convention at the Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, Florida, which was sponsored by Cummins and Ram. After being named winner of the award, Moeller was given a Cummins-powered Ram truck.
