Local California truck businesses unhappy about emission law regulations

Some small California trucking companies are raising concerns over the discussions about emissions laws and are taking the next step to make sure their voices are heard. According to California Watch, four truck businesses are suing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as they feel they were not well represented when the laws were being discussed.

The companies say that proper documentation and research was not done when law changes were considered, such as not submitting findings of emission levels to the Science Advisory Board.

“With these regulations in place, my four heavy-duty vehicles could be declared obsolete, and there will be no hope my employees could get back to work," Norman R. Brown, owner of Delta Construction, told the news source. His company is one of the businesses taking action against the governmental group.

Delta Construction, based near Sacramento, California, has been in business for more than 50 years, says the company's website.
