Created: Monday, October 10th, 2011 05:01 pm

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has been a main source in the industry for recognizing truck companies for their outstanding performances in security and safety of all motorists on the road. Recently, the ATA awarded ABF Freight System, Inc. with its annual Excellence in Security Award at a conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

"[ABF staff members] believe our customers deserve safe, secure and error-free service, which comes from the training, experience and responsiveness of dedicated and empowered ABF employees," Wes Kemp, chief executive officer and president of ABF Freight System, said in a statement.

This award was given to ABF for its assistance in maintaining trucking regulations on the nation’s highways, making sure truckers are adhering to their compliance training for truck drivers and new CSA rules that were implemented last year.

A special section of the ATA, called the Chain Security and Loss Prevention Council, handled this honor given to ABF. The specific department deals with keeping fleet management owners' assets secure and helps them find ways to best handle any freight or equipment losses that may occur. AFB offers exceptional logistics services that can be used by trucking companies to gain support during these types of situations.
