Trucking industry remains optimistic about freight transportation increases
The future of trucking is slowly growing brighter. A recent survey conducted by Transport Capital Partners LLC (TCP) found that many trucking organizations are confident going forward and plan to increase their volume in the upcoming year, reports The Trucker.
The bigger companies, which bring in more than $25 million in revenue, tend to be more positive about increasing their volume. More than 90 percent of those questioned think they will boost their freight, while a little more than 80 percent of smaller business think the same.
Lana Batts, partner at TCP, says fleet management tactics will continue to improve as the economy recovers.
"TCP expects the second half of 2011 to likely show potentially more positive signs," she told the news source.
Fellow partner Richard Mikes thinks the improvement of optimism among trucking companies, compared to last quarter, is encouraging for the future.
The survey was conducted to monitor how carriers are dealing with difficult economic times, and to start research on how to best deal with supply and demand that could continue to increase nationwide.
According to TCP's website, they are a consulting firm that has been providing guidance to the trucking industry for generations.
