Trucking company gets creative paint jobs for charity

Created: Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 04:01 pm

Some fleet management owners in the trucking industry do what they can to help out those in need in their surrounding communities. Recently, a company called Ferellgas decided to give one of its fuel trucks a fresh coat of paint to be emblazoned with a theme that supports Leukemia research.

Dave Cape, a truck driver who works for Ferrellgas, has a daughter named Brittani that is undergoing treatment for cancer. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is pairing up with Ferrellgas to launch the special vehicle that will help raise money for the organization.

Steve Wambold, chief executive officer of Ferrellgas, says he is glad his company could take part in this opportunity to give back to causes that are important to their employees.

"It has been inspiring to watch how the community has rallied around Brittini and the entire Cape family," he said. "We are humbled to be able to join in that effort and proud to support the important and impactful work of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society."
