Although a truck's exterior aesthetics may not be on the minds of drivers, many talented designers have put time and effort into some of the advertisements on the big rigs that haul freight nationwide. Recently, Canada had a contest to showcase some of the best truck displays, reports Today's Trucking.

The Vehicle Graphics Design event is in its 26th year of being a top competition for companies to display their skills in artwork and advertisement. Sponsored by the Private Motor Truck Council (PMTC), private fleet management businesses are welcomed to enter in their unique trucks to be judged in various categories, such as best in nighttime safety, human interest and tractor trailer combination.

This year, Molson Coors and Twin City Graphics took home the nighttime safety award, and Slush Puppie Canada won the Straight Truck group.

Bruce Richards, president of Private Motor truck Council of Canada, says this event celebrates a great facet of the trucking industry, reports the PMTC website.

"It is terrific to be able to provide a forum with which to recognize the efforts of fleets and graphic houses from all across Canada," he told the news source.
