Created: Thursday, September 22nd, 2011 04:01 pm

A variety of events for the trucking industry will be happening throughout the country this autumn. Drivers who are new and have just completed their CDL training may enjoy these great celebrations of trucking alongside the veterans who have gathered at these types of festivals for years.

Truckers in the Fort Worth, Texas area can attend the National Association of Show Trucks (NAST) Bobby Lindamood Memorial Truck Show at the end of September. According to the NAST website, this event has brought demonstrations of top-notch trucks for the past three years to an excited audience. During this three-day celebration, there will be a contest for the shiniest and best-kept big rig, which will be rewarded a cash prize at the end of the weekend.

A few weeks later in Davie, Florida, the 10th Annual Meca South Florida Truck Show will take place at the 595 truck stop, reports the Meca Truck website. Hundreds of trucking enthusiasts of all ages will be attending this event to admire trucks of all shapes and sizes competing for first-place prize. Individual awards will be granted for things like the loudest horn and most impressive lighting.
