Test drive new trucks in Las Vegas this winter

Truckers who love to check out the latest designs in big rigs will have that chance in Las Vegas, Nevada, this January. According to Trucking Info, the Western Star Truck Sales company will be hosting its second annual Serious Trucks Challenge, allowing trucks to test drive some of the latest models that highlight trucker health and safety offered by the business.

"The Serious Trucks Challenge is the perfect way for us to showcase our products, and with the addition of the 4700 to this year's event, competitors will get first-hand experience with the smooth, quiet ride and rugged capabilities that make Western Star the ideal solution for the construction segment," Ann Demitruk, director of marketing at Western Star, said in a statement.

Participants will be able to compete in a series of contests that will test their trucking safety skills and maneuvering abilities. Some of the challenges include a simulated concrete pour and stopping on gravel.

The event's Facebook fan page reports that tickets can be purchased through the Western Star website, and all trucking enthusiasts and fans are encouraged to attend.
