Smartphone app helps truckers find great jobs
Last month, Wright Media released an innovative smart phone application, or app, that connects fleet management owners and truck drivers for employment positions. Truckers can upload their qualifications and resumes so owners can contact them quickly and set up interviews for jobs with their companies.
The app, called TruckerJobs, is helping both drivers and owners swiftly fill the demands for more truckers on the road as the need for freight hauling continues to increase.
Wright Media has seen great success with the new app so far because hundreds of drivers are already utilizing the database to find their future occupations. The program is compatible with more than 470 smartphones and is currently available for free download.
Kenny Wright, chief executive officer of Wright Media, said he expects the app's usage will grow exponentially in the upcoming months.
“The evolution of driver recruiting is definitely in the use of smart phones," he said. "Companies are seeing unbelievable results by reaching people on their smartphones.”
Truckers who have completed CDL training courses and are looking to begin their job search may want to try a job recruiting program such as TruckerJobs to help find the trucking company that will be the best fit.
