Recurrent hazmat training could help truck drivers land jobs

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the health of the trucking industry is directly correlated to the state of the economy. As a result, recent improvements in various industries across the country could mean that a greater number of jobs will become available to commercial vehicle operators.

Proof of this theory currently exists in Denver, as a career fair for professionals in this industry will take place in the city this week, according to CBS affilliate 9News.

This Wednesday, a slew of employers will gather at the Fuel Truck Driver Job Fair to search for experienced Class A CDL drivers who are qualified to drive fuel tankers. Applicants are required to have hazmat endorsements, according to the news source.

Despite similar signs of economic growth, some analysts believe that the country still has a long way to go before reaching pre-recession levels. As a result, now may be the perfect time for current and prospective truck drivers to explore their professional development options. Recurrent hazmat training courses could help these individuals gain the credentials they will need to land lucrative positions.
