Transportation professionals who wish to grow with the companies that employ them may want to consider updating their educational qualifications. They may consider enrolling in online truck driver training courses, which could keep them abreast of emerging trends in their industry.

Individuals who can show their employers that they are dedicated to their profession may be more likely to reap the benefits when their organizations expand, as Earl L. Henderson Trucking Company recently did.

The Belleville News-Democrat reports that the Salem, Illinois-based business has announced that it will relocate most of its maintenance operations to Caseyville. As part of the move, more than 500 jobs will be brought to the area.

Presently, the company operates 400 tractors and 550 air conditioned trailers, according to the news source.

Educated trucking professionals may be likely to receive transfers or promotions when their companies undergo similar transitions. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the truck transportation and warehousing field is expected to increase by 11 percent over the next eight years.
