New products change the way truckers play

Created: Friday, October 14th, 2011 06:01 pm

When truckers were young, they may have gained inspiration for their future career path by playing with remote-controlled, or RC, trucks. Recently, the Dexim company released new technology that allows some of these toy vehicles to be controlled through one's iPad, iPod or iPhone, such as a toy RC car would be used.

This new concept allows individuals to use their Apple products with wireless or 4G access to download a program that turns their tablet, phone or MP3 player into a remote control. This iOS platform moves the monster truck wirelessly with a small adapter that attaches to the Apple device.

Controls are designated through gravity mode, which lets users move the trucks by tilting the Apple device or through touch-screen arrows on the phone, tablet or MP3 player's screen.

Dexim also offers eco-friendly options for charging one's mobile devices inside a car or truck, which may be useful for truckers who spend long hours on the road.

Truckers who wish to relive their childhood or want to pass on their passion of trucking to the next generation may consider this fun new product for the upcoming holiday season.
