The largest trucking logistics company in the U.S. is the United Postal Service (UPS), which operates at thousands of locations throughout the country. Recently, this business announced that its representatives support recent discussions by President Barack Obama and his administration for movement towards international free trade.

UPS handles many mail transactions and freight hauling nationwide, but the company also deals with requests abroad for package transportation and more. With these new free trade agreements between the U.S. and countries such as Panama, South Korea and Colombia, American exports could potentially double within the next few years. This could greatly impact UPS and other logistics companies throughout the country.

"By giving American businesses greater access to the 95 percent of consumers who live outside the U.S., these agreements will increase exports and create jobs at home,” Scott Davis, UPS chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

After completing the necessary compliance training for truck drivers, individuals who wish to enter this industry may consider working for a large and successful business such as UPS, which can offer job security for national and international opportunities.
