Large trucking company looking to fill hundreds of new jobs

Created: Monday, July 11th, 2011 03:01 pm

The unstable economic times may cause some truckers to feel unsure about their future careers. However, one international fleet management business is growing despite the tough times, and it is offering 300 new jobs to drivers and those in the industry.

Schneider National boasts itself as one of the largest hauling companies in the nation, and has been around for more than seven decades. Many of the newly available positions are in regions of Texas and New Mexico; however, some will reach to other destinations, like Oklahoma. Freight transported includes oil, dry materials and liquid condensate.

Mike Hinz, vice president of Schneider National, says he is glad to be extending the business and presenting new openings in the fleet.

"We are excited to grow this part of our business and excited about the excellent career opportunities we'll be providing local residents," he said.

Schneider is accepting applications from drivers who have been Class A certified, and the company has reimbursement opportunities for the coursework. Several of the jobs allow for daily time at home and offer competitive salaries.
