Large corporation offers sponsorship for trucking group
A leading organization in the trucking industry will soon expand its influence within the nation’s growing demands for freight haul. Women In Trucking (WIT) recently announced that Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems has reached gold level status in sponsorship of the truck driving advocacy group.
The company says it is in full support of the WIT organization, which strives to be the voice of female truckers who work commercially throughout the country. Bendix specializes in trucking safety and develops equipment that will protect fleet management owners property as well as their drivers.
“From driving the big rigs to driving the decisions that help shape our industry today and tomorrow, women hold an ever-increasing role in the trucking industry,” Andreea Raaber, vice president for business development at Bendix, said in a statement.
Other gold level sponsors of WIT include large corporations such as Walmart and Frito Lay.
Women who have recently completed their compliance training for truck drivers may want to consider researching affiliations that may offer support and information of job prospects within the industry, which could be beneficial for aspiring truckers hoping to soon hit the road.
