Insurance company to give away truck at Mid American Truck Show

Great American Insurance Group's Trucking Division recently announced its 2012 Big Rig Giveaway Sweepstakes is underway.

The grand prize for the sweepstakes is a customized Peterbilt 387 to be awarded at the Mid-America Truck Show on March 24, 2012.

"We have a long history of supporting this vital industry, and we're pleased to be able to lend a hand any way we can," said Tim Clinton, divisional vice president of marketing for the Great American Insurance Trucking Division. "Truckers help keep America moving, and we're happy to help protect drivers and keep them on the road."

Truckers who have a valid U.S. Class A commercial driver license, which requires appropriate compliance training for truck drivers, are eligible to participate. Truckers can register online and at the Great American Insurance Group's booth at the Mid-America Truck Show.

Another announcement is scheduled to occur at the show, reported Landline Magazine.

The magazine said the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund will announce the winner of its scholarship to a former truck driver forced out of the profession by injury.
