Influential Woman in Trucking nominations now being accepted

The anticipated Influential Woman in Trucking Award is officially taking nominations for the new recognition, hosted by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT). Drivers across the country are encouraged to participate in the honor that recognizes trucker health and truck driving safety standards upheld by strong and independent females, reports Trucking Info.

As the applications continue to be accepted throughout the month of January, officials from the WIT will be looking over all candidates to choose a final winner for the March Truckload Carriers Association conference in Florida.

According to Today's Trucking, women in positions throughout the industry are qualified to be considered for the award, including manufacturing suppliers, corporate employees, drivers and those involved in fleet management.

Included on the nominee form are spaces to tell short stories about how the potential winner has demonstrated leadership and how she became involved in the business. New female truckers who have recently completed their CDL training could make this honor a future goal to strive towards as they begin their career on the road.
