Green Fleet Conference to take place in October
The annual Green Fleet Conference will take place in Shaumburg, Illinois, on October 2-3, 2012.
The conference is a resource for industry professionals, fleet managers and individuals with commercial driver’s licenses to learn more about new equipment and ideas that can help make their fleets more environmentally friendly.
“The 2012 Green Fleet Conference offers two full days of keynote presentations, workshops, seminars and panel discussions personalized for fleet professionals that integrate an environmentally-friendly component into their operations,” the conference explained on its website. “Concurrent sessions are broken up into two tracks, corporate and government to address the specific challenges facing each sector.”
Among the keynote speakers are Deborah Lockridge, editor in chief of Heavy Duty Trucking, who will be leading a discussion called “The ‘Greening of Engine Oils” with five panelists from across the industry. Lockridge will be joined by Tom Berg, a senior editor for HDT, who will lead a discussion on the strategies and technologies being used by original equipment manufacturers to reduce harmful emissions and make their fleets more eco-friendly.
Attendees can visit an exhibit hall featuring new products and services and even test drive green vehicles to get a feel for the new technology.
More than 550 people attended the conference in 2011, and this year’s numbers are expected to be even higher.
