According to a recent report conducted by Global Industry Analysts, the global trucking industry is expected to reach $230 billion by 2015, due to growth in areas such as manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing, agriculture, construction, mining, health and community services and finance and insurance.

The trucking industry in the United States is beginning to grow due to the Freight Act of 2010, which was created to enhance efficiency and security, while also giving truckers better opportunities for growth in their field. Trucking is also expected to benefit from growth in the manufacturing industry, in which more workers are being employed for enhanced retail sales, inventory stocking, growth in freight volumes and gradual increase in utilization rates, according to GIA.

More good news for truckers comes from FTR Associates' Shippers Conditions Index for November, which found a reading of negative 6.1, with figures under 0 favoring transportation service providers, reported Heavy Duty Trucking magazine.

Completing the proper CDL training can help truckers find better job opportunities, while also allowing them to show employers that they have the proper training, showcasing their dedication to the profession.
