Female truckers welcomed to special gathering in Kentucky

When female truckers begin their careers in the often male-dominated industry, they may wish to find other like-minded workers for support and solidarity. A great way to meet other female truckers would be to attend the Women Behind the Wheel event that will take place at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, next year. Although the event is a few months away, women who wish to journey to the celebration can begin making plans now for this exciting convention.

Next year's gathering is slated to bring together hundreds of women truckers to share stories about their experiences on the road as well as participate is some fun activities, reports the event's website. Included in the celebration will be opportunities for networking, attending musical performances and winning some truck-themed door prizes.

The conference will be sponsored by Women In Trucking. According to the organization's website, this group is the single voice of American female truckers, and encourages those who recently completed their CDL training as well as veterans to join the society for support, information and advice about navigating commercial big rigs on the nation's highways.
