Created: Friday, December 21st, 2012 12:01 pm

The Diesel Technology Forum recently added the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) as the newest member of the allied group that produces and distributes renewable biodiesel fuel in the United States. NBB helps coordinate the biodiesel industry to teach CDL licensed drivers and the motoring public about the benefits of biodiesel fuel.

"Many people do not realize that today’s new technology diesel engines with ultra low sulfur biodiesel blends provide tailpipe emissions as clean or cleaner than natural gas or gasoline, while providing superior fuel economy, horsepower and durability," said Steve Howell, technical director for the National Biodiesel Board. "In addition, when you combine the increased efficiency diesel engines with the low carbon nature of an advanced biofuel like biodiesel, new technology diesel engines are positioned to become the clean, green technology of the future."

NBB members include more than 260 state, national and international  companies in the international feedstock, biodiesel producer and supplier, fuel marketer, processor organizations, technology and distributor fields. The Diesel Technology Forum leads the diesel industry in OEMs, suppliers, device manufacturers and fuel refiners, and advocates for clean diesel technology.
