Companies begin to find different sources of energy to reduce dependency of diesel
In an effort to reduce fuel costs for specific companies, The PS Energy Group is providing a supply of cleaner, cheaper alternative gas for fleets and vehicles by working with Clean Energy Fuels Corporation.
The agreement allows Clean Energy to develop and operate compressed natural gas (CNG) facilities at PS Energy Group's Atlanta fueling stations or unattended fuel outlets. Furthermore, by fall 2011 fleets and individuals with CNG vehicles will be able to fill up any time at these computerized stations.
"By expanding the availability of compressed natural gas at PS Energy Group’s fueling stations, we encourage individuals and fleets to reduce their petroleum consumption and impact on the environment by switching to cleaner, alternative fuels," said Livia Whisenhunt, president, chief operation officer and founder of PS Energy Group.
Companies may want to explore CNG vehicle options in an effort to reduce their fuel costs and harmful emissions. Compliance training for truck drivers may help operators of older vehicles examine the benefits of a cleaner burning fuel source for their tractor-trailer.
