Chicago Transportation conference to be held for industry discussion

Created: Monday, July 25th, 2011 04:01 pm

On-going dialogue among drivers and fleet management owners provides a great outlet for exploring new ideas and improvements in the trucking industry. This fall, experts from various trucking companies will gather together to discuss changes and issues in the freight hauling business.

The goals of the convention are to educate trucking company owners and offer advice on how to expand, refinance, reconstruct or merge their businesses. Trucking professionals will form a panel to answer questions and speak about the on-going legal changes and regulations to the industry that may affect how owners operate their corporations.

Andy Ahern, chief executive officer of the trucking and transportation consulting firm Ahern and Associated, Ltd., says he looks forward to the event that will surely be as popular as previous gatherings.

"Last year's conference was a tremendous success which provided an outstanding networking venue for the dozens of attendees and expert presenters from across the country," he said.

Jim Hill, chairman of Benesch Law, will join Ahern as the co-host of the conference that takes place Friday, September 23rd in downtown Chicago.
