California trucking company adds new big rigs to fleet

As freight hauling requirements continue to stay steady throughout the country, some trucking companies are expanding their services and fleets to keep up with demand. For example, U.S. Xpress recently added more commercial big rigs to its fleets, bringing its truck total to 100, reports Trucking Info.

This California-based business specializes in transporting high-value materials throughout the state and through other nationwide region such as the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and upper Midwest. Officials say they will continue to expand their fleets and plan to have more than 250 trucks by the end of 2012.

"At U.S. Xpress, we pride ourselves on understanding our customers' supply chain needs and challenges," John White, president of U.S. Xpress, said in a statement.

According to the company's website, U.S. Xpress has been offering transport services for more than 25 years on a global scale. Truckers who have recently completed their compliance training for truck drivers may consider working for a progressive company that has made plans for growth, which could be lucrative when beginning one's career in this industry.
