‘Best Fleets to Drive For’ survey underway
As the trucking industry evolves and more companies are in need of drivers, truckers have the benefit of being able to choose which businesses are top-notch and which they would like to be employed by in the future.
Recently, the Truckload Carriers Association introduced next year's rules for the annual ‘Best Fleets to Drive For’ survey, which selects the superior companies across the nation that encompass the ideal conditions for the trucking industry.
The company asks truckers and owner operators all over the country to participate in a questionnaire that will rank companies on various factors of the business. Any company that has 10 or more for-hire trucks is eligible for inclusion on the list.
A new aspect has been incorporated, which was born from the recent debates over harassment issues. As technology continues to progress, electronic log sheets and communication equipment allows for instant contact between fleet management owners and their crews. This list is looking for companies that best handle these situations, ensuring trucker health and positive working environments.
Officials from the program say this is an opportunity for those in the industry to learn about other businesses and for those not familiar with trucking to understand the great opportunities offered in the industry.
