ATA trucking convention sees success

Created: Tuesday, October 18th, 2011 04:01 pm

This month, a conference hosted by the American Trucking Associations (ATA) took place in Grapevine, Texas. The convention encouraged fleet management professionals and trucking business owners to share ideas and innovations within the industry, reports the ATA website.

Several officials from the ATA performed the opening ceremonies that were held in the Management Conference and Exhibition hall that hosted more than 160 vendors and company representatives. Nationwide businesses took park in the event, with more than 40 presenting their products for the first time this year.

ATA administrators were encouraged to see the newcomers and expressed that this reflects the achievements that continue to transpire in the industry, despite uncertain economic times.

"The interaction between the thousands of ATA members attending our meeting this year and the dozens of exhibitors in our exhibit hall is an important part of the MC&E experience," said Bill Graves, chief executive officer of the ATA, in a statement.

Truckers who have recently completed their CDL training may consider attending a trucking conference, for these events can offer information on many aspects of this line of work in one location.
