Trucking companies can now use window film to protect from the sun
The Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration recently announced it will allow truckers to use window film to keep safe from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays.
With more trucking companies focusing on trucker health, reducing UV radiation will cut down a driver's risk of contracting skin cancer while also helping cut down glare, interior fading and hot spots.
"The health and safety of America's truck drivers is of the utmost importance to American Trucking Associations," said Bill Graves, president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations. "Whether it is doing more to battle obesity and sleep apnea, or helping our drivers avoid skin cancer, ATA has consistently advocated for sensible regulations to ensure our drivers get and stay healthy."
Trucking companies can also tint windows to ensure better trucker health for drivers on their routes. One of the leaders in window tinting, Tint World, was recently in the news for joining forces with Sunrise Sports and Entertainment to become an official marketing partner of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.
