In order to improve measures for trucker health throughout roadways in the United States, Continental Tire the Americas recently released ContiPressureCheck, a revolutionary tire pressure monitoring system designed for commercial trucks, reported Tire Review.

When showcasing the new technology at  the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, CTA demonstrated how the system provides real-time, on-demand tire status information and how drivers are warned before tire pressure can become a life-threatening issue, said the source.

"With ContiPressureCheck, we measure both tire pressure and temperature, in order to give the most accurate reading," Clif Armstrong, CTA’s director of commercial vehicle tire marketing, told the source. "This feature alerts drivers to underinflation issues even in the case of slow leaks, which are difficult to detect in a system that is not compensated."? ?

Another company releasing its newest innovation in tire pressure monitoring is Kenworth, which recently announced the launch of SmarTire Tire Pressure Monitoring System from Bendix CVS, is now available on select Class 8 trucks.
