Created: Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 03:01 pm

Industry publication The Trucker reported another new technology that was unveiled at the 2012 Mid-America Trucking Show, which was the Revolution Innovation Truck created by Daimler Trucks North America.

The new truck is expected to improve trucker health due to aerodynamic features on the truck, which include front vents that release air pressure coming across the front of the truck and a rear wheel cover concept that continues air flowing smoothly from the chassis fairing to the trailer.

"We’ve taken what we learned with our first Innovation Truck and moved several steps forward," Justin Yee, manager of vehicle concepts for Daimler Trucks North America, told the Trucker. "The Revolution truly showcases the depth of our capabilities when encouraged to think outside the box and really get creative with our design solutions."

According to Gear Live, the Revolution Innovation Truck was not only created to make driving safer for truckers, it was also built to change the trucking world.

The website features a YouTube video that talks about the building of the Revolution Innovation Truck, and all of the new things drivers should expect from the truck.
