Great driving tunes make trucking easier
Although truckers should adhere to truck driving safety regulations and avoid excessive distractions while navigating the nation's highways, they can still enjoy some music while on the job. Organizing a great playlist before embarking on a long haul can make the time transpire faster and the task at hand seem a little easier. Today's Trucking reports on a few of the best songs to enjoy while tackling a long trip.
A few tunes have the word "trucking" right in their song titles, which can make them obvious choices while handling big rigs. Kenny Robbin's rendition of "Truck Drivin'" is a classic, while "Roll Trucker Roll" by Red Simpson and "Truckers' Paradise" by Del Reeves are also ideal selections.
Drivers can hum along to "500 Miles away" by Home Bobby Bare or "Endless Black Ribbon" by Tiny Harris when they are feeling a little homesick.
The Jetpacker blog also weighs in on a few favorite songs to help get truckers through the day. The Eagles offer "Life in the Fast Lane" and "Take It Easy," which almost seem made specifically for the trucking lifestyle. Drivers may also want to roll the windows down and bellow to "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf as they ride off into the sunset.
