With the 2012 Rolling Strong Driver Wellness Tour in full swing, Freightliner Trucks recently announced its plan to team up with Rolling Strong to improve the initiative and advocate greater awareness of trucker health issues.

Freightliner Trucks' contribution to the tour includes a Cascadia truck at each of the nine events on the tour, which will be used for a workout demonstration by Bob Perry, "The Trucker Trainer." Throughout the demonstration, Perry will show drivers workouts they can do with their truck to stay fit while on their routes.

"Providing drivers with the opportunities to learn about and embrace a healthier lifestyle while on the road is an important initiative that we are proud to support," said TJ Reed, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. "We are pleased to partner with Rolling Strong in its mission and on its 2012 Driver Wellness Tour."

Another measure recently taken by Freightliner Trucks trucks is the creation of the Freightliner Cascadia 113-inch BBC day cab, which will be available with natural gas technology. This new truck adds to the the company's collection of trucks that can run on natural gas, which emits fewer deadly toxins into the atmosphere.
