Southeastern Freight expanding its Louisiana facilities
Trucking company Southeastern Freight Lines, based in Lexington, South Carolina, recently purchased a 25-acre tract in Ouachita Parish's new Charleston Industrial Park in Louisiana, where it plans to build a regional terminal, reported the Monroe News-Star.
The regional terminal is expected to create a number of jobs during and after construction, and this facility will become another hub for Southeastern Freight, which is already based in Louisiana, with facilities in Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, New Orleans and Shreveport, said the News-Star.
Kenny Anderson, the business park hosting Southeastern Freight, told the News-Star he is excited for the construction of the terminal to begin because it will not only bring his business more revenue, but it will also increase traffic for Southeastern Freight.
The trucking company is growing upon its success from last year, when it received an LTL Carrier of the Year Award from Schneider Logistics, proving its excellence in fleet management.
"We have made a commitment to be the best provider and partner to 3PLs in our industry with the same driving commitment to excellence that we provide for all of our customers," said Mike Heaton, senior vice president for Southeastern Freight. "We appreciate this acknowledgement of our commitment and service from Schneider Logistics."
