Refrigeration trucking company seeks new ways to fuel its fleet
Across the country, many trucking companies have been alerted of the new alternative means of fueling their fleets, which some have been researching as a way to make their businesses more environmentally friendly. Recently, the Refrigerated Express company based in Massachusetts signed an agreement with Green Bridge Industries Inc. to order compressed natural gas (CNG) to be used in the near future.
"The trucking industry is the primary early indicator of economic activity in the nation. Trucking affects every industry, every business, and every household," Pat Barker, the president of Refrigerated Express, said in a statement. "America moves on trucks and the trucking industry is ready to move America to more prosperous times."
Experts say that if trucking companies turn to other means of fueling their big rigs, it may drastically change the way the U.S. as a whole depends on fuel by alleviating much of the pressures that comes with finding energy resources.
Truckers who have recently completed their CDL training may consider searching for employment with a company that utilizes alternative means of fueling, for they could be progressive in other areas as well, including benefits and offering new equipment.
