OOIDA offers trucking company owners online opportunities to improve business

Created: Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 08:01 am

The Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) sponsors many programs that benefit truckers and others who are a part of the industry. One of their popular initiatives is the business education webinars they host to support owners who have questions about their company logistics, reports Landline. The online programs are user-friendly, informative and can be accessed from anywhere across the nation by those who wish to participate. To make things simpler, webinars can be viewed live during designated viewing times, or videos can be watched later at the owner’s own pace.

"The 2012 lineup of topics includes new subject matter that was suggested by participants of our past programs," Tom Gann, host of the OOIDA’s webinar, said in a statement. "Plus we have updated the curriculum of presented topics to reflect the always changing regulations in the industry."

According to the OOIDA’s website, these programs are available to those in the trucking industry, especially individuals involved in fleet management or those who own a commercial truck business. Owners and operators can learn about topics such as keeping track of their fleets' compliance safety for truck drivers records and how to properly pass a regulatory audit.
