New software allows truckers quick access to insurance info
While a recent offering from Pitney Bowes Software is able to provide geolocational software solutions to 1st Guard, a trucking insurer, the software can also be used to improve fleet management for trucking companies throughout the United States.
"Spectrum OnDemand has become a supporting service that we use across the company for any address validation or geocoding specific issue," said Dan Ribar, CIO of 1st Guard. “In addition to the power of the solution, the ease of integration and the service has been exceptional, making Pitney Bowes Software a pleasure to work with."
The new Spectrum OnDemand software can be used to validate addresses for policies and precise tax jurisdiction calculations and customer mapping, as well as provides access to the iPhone app, TRUCKER1, which gives drivers the opportunity to access the coverage information in case of an incident on the road.
A few of the other benefits provided by the TRUCKER1 app include the fact that it acts like a virtual insurance card, has the ability to send location information to family, friends and employers through social networks, and quick access to filing insurance claims.
