Created: Monday, November 12th, 2012 04:01 pm

The National Private Truck Council and Instructional Technologies recently announced the launch of the Private Fleet Management Online® program, according to Fleet Owner.

PFMO is a new learning system that provides private fleet management professionals with in-service training through an interactive, multimedia reference manual. With insight from the practices, operations and strategies of the United States' best private fleet companies, the content is a great reference for training employees on the constantly changing technologies and regulations in the industry.

The comprehensive e-book is more than 900 pages long, and features the five core disciplines of private fleet management: Safety, security and compliance; fleet operational management; finance; human resources and workplace development.

Dr. James Voorhees, founder and CEO of Instructional Technologies, explained that PFMO was built for two different groups of people. The first group can use the program to advance their careers by learning how to take on new responsibilities at work and furthering their understanding of how all parts of the fleet come together to run smoothly. The second group will use PFMO as a reference guide for day-to-day questions. The technology is available on web browsers and mobile devices to help fleet managers find answers in a timely manner, the source reported.
