Created: Friday, December 2nd, 2011 03:01 pm

Those involved in fleet management or owner-operators in the trucking industry may wish to attend a special event that will be occurring in Jacksonville, Florida, this January. The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) will be hosting their annual conference that will address current topics and issues relating to the trucking industry.

During this five-day event, private fleet professionals will be treated to a series of lectures and workshops that can assist them in improving their overall business, reports the NPTC's website. This type of conference can prepare those getting ready for their compliance training for truck drivers coursework or their Certified Transport Planner, or CTP, examination.

Some of the discussions that will be conducted during the event include improving customer service, key performance indicators, outsourcing strategies and maintenance strategies for the private fleet executive.

Participants from past conventions hosted by the NPTC say that this is a wonderful opportunity to network with other fleet managers and learn from those who are veterans in the business. Trucking professionals can register through the organization's website.
