CSA training program available for truckers
A truck driver training recently announced a new offering that will provide guidance for drivers on the Compliance, Safety & Accountability program created by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration through a web-based training format.
Through the program, each driver will learn about the seven Behavior Analysis & Safety Improvement Categories that demonstrate how drivers can avoid problems such as fatigued driving and driving under the influence.
"With the new FMCSA initiative well under way, companies have a duty to make their drivers aware of their roles and increased responsibilities under CSA," said Rob Martin, vice president of sales for the driver training company.
The compliance training for truck drivers will allow commercial fleets to avoid infractions of new CSA regulations.
The violations drivers can face are listed by Modern Tire Dealer, which include reckless driving, speeding 15 mph over the posted limit, speeding in a construction zone, operating a commercial motor vehicle while texting, driving after being declared out-of-service, driver using or possessing drugs, releasing hazardous material from a package or container, and having a package unsecured in the vehicle.
