New jobs opening for truckers in Florida
Individuals who have recently completed their CDL training in or near the state of Florida may have some new opportunities for employment. According to Waste Management World, dump truck drivers are needed to assist a big project happening in St. Lucie County that will be improving the conditions at the local landfill.
The Underwater Engineering Services company has a contract with the resident County Commissioners to move hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of material to the regional landfill. Roughly 30 trucks will be needed to do this project as well as a ticket taker. When completed, this temporary initiative will save the local officials and government close to one million dollars. This is allowing the project to be sanctioned faster and put truckers in jobs quickly to complete what needs to be done.
Truckers who are looking for employment nationwide should look into the government-funded projects and initiatives happening their region, which may provide an avenue to job opportunities on the road. Some may be long-term and other could be temporary, but all have the ability to give truckers experience and help them begin their careers.
