Trucker health conference to take place in March
Many professional truck drivers are more focused on doing their jobs than preserving their own well-being. Fortunately, there are many ways that these workers can ensure that they stay healthy on the road.
In an effort to introduce members of this industry to these resources, the Healthy Trucking Association of America (HTAA) holds an annual summit. The year, the event will feature an increased focus on the wellness-related tools and services that are available to commercial vehicle operators.
Attendees will be able to visit a Health and Wellness Resources Showcase, which will take place on Thursday, March 3 in Atlanta. Health, wellness and nutrition organizations will hold demonstrations, and display various products and services that could prove beneficial to individuals who travel for a living.
In addition to the showcase, the summit will include presentations on health issues such as hypertension and heart health, sleep disorders, respiratory health, diabetes as well as obesity and weight loss.
Individuals who enroll in trucker health training courses may be more likely to maintain their well-being over the course of their careers.
